Forces
How much the AI thinks in each mission, and how many Actions it spends on it.
When creating a mission, you choose a force in the How hard should it think? selector. The higher it is, the more time the AI spends thinking and the better models it uses, so it spends more Actions for the same task.
| Strength | Actions | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Instant | ×1 | Answers in seconds. Good for a short plan or something you already have clear in your head. |
| Balanced | ×6 | Thinks the plan through before writing it. This is the one almost everybody wants. |
| High | ×9 | Takes longer and goes deeper: better steps, better order, better use of what you have connected. |
| Maximum | ×15 | The best thinking available, for the plan you are going to bet a quarter on. Slow and worth it. |
The Actions column is the multiplier: a task that costs 10 Actions with Instant will cost about ×6 times that with Balanced. What is not thinking, like running a tool, is not multiplied.
Which force to choose
- Instant to test, for short plans, or if you already know what you want.
- Balanced for almost everything else.
- High and Maximum for the goal your quarter depends on.
Increasing the force for a single step
Sometimes an agent suggests thinking more on a specific step. You receive it as an approval: if you accept, only that step uses the higher force.
