The nine words you need to understand Parallel.
Mission
A mission is a goal with its plan, team, and number. It starts when you write a goal in New and ends when it is completed, canceled, or the date arrives. How many you can have active at once depends on your plan: 1 in Free, 3 in Builder, 10 in Pro.
From the ⋯ menu of a mission you can duplicate it, share a read-only link, view its activity log, or its weekly summary.
Plan
The plan is the recommended path to reach the goal. Parallel presents it in six phases and breaks it down into steps by day. You review it before launching. If the numbers don’t add up while working, Parallel can propose a plan change: nothing changes until you approve it, and you can always keep the current plan. Each approved change creates a new version of the plan.
Steps
Each step has a day, a person responsible, and a status.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | Not yet your turn. |
| In progress | An agent is working on it. |
| Blocked | Something is missing: your answer, a connected app, or Actions. |
| Done | Finished, with its result. |
| Skipped | Decided not to do it. |
The person responsible is an agent or you. When a step is yours, Parallel marks it as «Your step».
Agents
Agents are the AI members of the mission team. Parallel creates them for the plan, each with their role and only the tools that role needs: an agent can’t use a tool it wasn’t given. How many you can have active depends on the plan (3 in Free).
Strengths
Strength indicates how hard the AI thinks: Instant, Balanced, High or Maximum. More strength means better plans and more Actions. All are available in all plans. See Strengths.
Approvals
An approval is a question from an agent waiting for your answer: an email before sending, a post, a plan change. You can Approve, Reject, or Send back with a comment. What you approve is exactly what gets executed: if something changes afterward, it won’t be executed. See Approve and reject.
Deliverables
Deliverables are what the mission produces: texts, emails, lists, reports, websites, images. They are in Results, can be downloaded, and you can request changes. See Deliverables and results.
Goal and KPI
Each mission has a number to move (the KPI): customers, replies, bookings. Parallel distinguishes between:
- Verified: checked by an integration, for example an email sent via Gmail.
- Reported: stated by an agent or by you, but no integration has verified it.
Only steps marked as part of the result move the number, and they do so when their execution is verified.
Actions
Actions are the unit Parallel uses to measure AI work. Each plan includes a few per month (250 in Free) and each task spends according to what it really costs to do it. See What is an Action.
