What is an Action
The unit Parallel uses to measure AI work, how much each task costs, and what happens if you run out.
A Parallel Action is the unit of AI work. Thinking up a plan, researching a company, writing an email, or checking progress uses Actions. This way, you don’t have to worry about models or tokens: everything is counted the same.
How many you have
Each plan includes a certain amount per month: 250 in Free, 2,000 in Builder, 8,000 in Pro, and 30,000 in Autopilot. The quota resets every billing period: unused Actions don’t carry over to the next month.
How much each task costs
Each task is charged based on what it actually costs to complete, with a minimum of 1 Action. As a reference, here’s what common tasks usually consume at Instant strength:

With a higher strength, thinking tasks multiply:

| Maximum | ×15 | The best thinking available, for the plan you are going to bet a quarter on. Slow and worth it. |
A tool that fails doesn’t cost anything.
Before spending
- When you launch a mission, you see how many Actions are estimated, and in Results the estimated versus spent.
- While working, the mission shows Actions decreasing live.
- We notify you by email when you reach 10% and 5%, and when you run out.
- In Settings → Usage you have the spending per mission.
If you run out of Actions
Agents stop before the step that would exceed your balance. Nothing is lost: the mission pauses with a warning and continues automatically when you renew, buy a package, or upgrade your plan. A step already in progress finishes, even if it leaves the balance slightly below zero.
Action packages
If you have a paid plan, you can top up without changing plans:

- Packages don’t expire while your subscription is active.
- They are only spent when your monthly quota runs out.
- Each purchase has its own invoice.

From Invite & earn you share your link. Your friend receives Actions when signing up and, when they start paying, you get a month of their plan’s Actions. Exact conditions are on the screen itself.
